Games are scheduled on Sundays at Abilities Centre starting at 3pm.
List of Awards for ETBL
Regular Season MVP
The potential winner will be the best of these MVP Criterias combined. However, not every single criteria needs to be fulfilled. Some criteria coud have a bigger impact than others.
- Production: Fill up the stat sheets offensively and defensively
- Record: Must have winning record (minimum .500) , the better the record = the better the chance of MVP. Unless the team is not within the confines of league competition and is way above it. Then this shall not apply. (ex. stacked teams)
- Leadership: Display strong leadership and help develop fellow teammates by getting them involved in order to uplift their confidence and competitive spirit. Maintains constant communication ON and OFF the court by encouraging the team or through constructive criticism.
- Clutch: Comes through in the biggest moments of the game either by making an offensive play, defensive play or through leadership.
GM of the Year
- Roster: Had a successful draft / was able to recognize improvement opportunities and made the appropriate changes (if needed).
- Record: Has a winning record (minimum .500). Maximizing the team's potential and getting the most out of them (overachieving). Will consider strength of roster compared to rest of league.
- Coaches: Runs plays, calls the timeouts, knows foul situation, manages minutes, has a game plan for the team, teaches and helps players improve their game, etc.
- Vocal Leader: Always communicating with his team, whether it’s ON or Off the court. Able to motivate his team with praises and constructive criticism.
- Puts his players in the best position to suceed and finds important roles for everyone on the team
Defensive Player of the Year
- No Liability - Can hold his own on defense and rarely needs help. Has to flat out be able to guard all types of players and force turnovers. Must show strengths in defensive rebounding, blocks and steals.
- Hustles - Fights for every lose ball, takes no plays off, always first back on defense.
- Defensive Anchor - Sets the intensity on defense and get the rest of his team to raise their level of defense. Has to be vocal on defense.
- Impact - Made clutch defensive plays which directly impacted wins and losses.
ETBL All-Defensive Team (5 Players)
- No Liability - Can hold his own on defense and rarely needs help. Has to flat out be able to guard all types of players and force turnovers. Must show strengths in defensive rebounding, blocks and steals.
- Hustles - Fights for every lose ball, takes no plays off, always first back on defense.
- The 5 best defenders in the league regardless of position.
6TH Man of the Year
- Impact - Makes impact off the bench, whether it be on defense or on offense. Brings energy off the bench and can change the pace of the game.
- Must have played 6 or more games beginning on the bench during the regular season
- Potential Starter - Could easily start on many of the other teams.
- Made clutch plays to help win games
Newcomer of the Year
- Must be a newcomer to the league and have not previously played in any season
- Based on overall stats and will not factor team record
- Winner of MVP is automatically disqualified from winning this award
Most Improved Player
- Will compare stats to previously played season (injury riddled season will not count)
- Primarily based on offensive categories but defensive stats may play a factor as well
- Winner of MVP is automatically disqualified from winning this award
All-Star Game MVP
- Fill up the stat sheet/put on a show/display sportsmanship/get others involved
- Can come from winning or losing team
Finals MVP
- Wll factor in clutch plays and defence as well
- Can only come from winning team
